Live Wedding Painter Miami | Serving couples throughout Florida
About the Artist
Maggie Bosco is a studio artist, live wedding painter, and teacher based in Bradenton, FL. She grew up on Long Island, NY, where art quietly wove into her everyday life—through photography, crafting, foraging, and even finding expression in competitive gymnastics. Creativity was always present, but her path to becoming a professional painter was far from linear. She studied business administration in college and began a career in marketing before pursuing painting.
In 2023, Maggie earned her MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. During graduate school, her skills grew exponentially as she discovered painting from live observation, a practice that transformed her artistic career.
Maggie has attended artist residencies abroad, including La Maison de Beaumont in the south of France and Aviário Studio in Portugal. Travel continues to inspire her studio collections, where her paintings explore light, color, and atmosphere, balancing bold brushwork with careful observation.
This painterly approach carries into her live wedding and event paintings, where her training and refined technique allow her to capture atmosphere with exceptional nuance. Since painting her first wedding live in 2022, she has created works for numerous luxury events, including performances by grammy award winners Jon Nite and Brett James. Whether it’s a wedding, business event, performance or grand opening, she transforms each moment into a timeless work of art.
Alongside painting, Maggie is passionate about teaching. She works with several institutions—including the Herrig Center for the Arts and Art Center Sarasota—helping students of all levels build technical skills, loosen up, and connect more deeply with their own creativity.
Maggie currently lives in Bradenton, FL, with her boyfriend. Outside the studio, they enjoy playing pickleball together, visiting Florida’s beaches, and traveling to see friends, family, and new places. Wherever she goes, painting remains her way of slowing down, fostering connection, and sharing the way she sees the world.
Artist Statement
My work is rooted in observation and the act of slowing down. Through painting, I explore the feeling of arriving somewhere unfamiliar—the heightened awareness of light, color, and movement that comes with new places and fleeting encounters. I’m drawn to moments that feel ordinary yet charged, where atmosphere does the emotional work.
I paint from life whenever possible, allowing perception, memory, and intuition to overlap. From a distance, my paintings read as bold and immersive; up close, they reveal loose, layered marks and moments of uncertainty. This tension between structure and mess mirrors how I experience place—never fixed, always shifting. Whether in the studio or working live, painting becomes a way to hold onto experience without fixing it, allowing moments to remain active, unresolved, and alive.
